Scope

This standard specifies two test methods for determining the vertical permeability of geotextiles and related products in a single-layer manner: the constant water head method and the falling water head method. This standard is applicable to all types of geotextiles and related products, but not to composite geotextiles containing membrane materials. Note: If the overall permeability of geotextiles and related products has been predetermined, in order to control the quality of the materials, only the flow rate index at a water head of 50 mm can be measured.
