Scope

This standard specifies the instruments and materials, samples, test procedures, test results, accuracy, safety issues, and limitations used in the test method for measuring the thermal stability of substances using differential thermal analyzers and/or differential scanning calorimeters. This standard is applicable to the evaluation of the thermal stability of solid, liquid, and paste-like substances that undergo enthalpy changes in an inert or reactive atmosphere under a certain pressure (including atmospheric pressure) and within a temperature range of -50 ℃ to 1,500 ℃.
