Scope

This standard specifies the symbols and their meanings, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, acceptance, and storage of bonded abrasives.
This standard applies to grinding wheels, grinding heads, grinding stones, and sanding tiles made from ceramic binders, resin binders, fiber-reinforced resin binders, rubber binders, reinforced rubber binders, dolomite binders, and plastic binders.
For bonded abrasives with separate product standards, the provisions of the separate product standards shall be followed.
