Scope
Denial-of-service (DoS) services aim to generate, collect, maintain, utilize, and verify evidence related to claimed events or actions, in order to resolve disputes about whether the event or action actually occurred. This section describes the general structure used for DoS services, as well as some specific communication-related mechanisms for providing initial DoS (NRO), delivery DoS (NRD), submission DoS (NRS), and transmission DoS (NRT), etc. Other DoS services can be built using the general structure described in Chapter 8 to meet the requirements of security policies. This section relies on trusted third parties to prevent fraudulent denials. Generally, an online trusted third party is required.
