Scope

This standard specifies the qualitative and quantitative methods for determining short-chain chlorinated paraffins (SCCPs) in electronic and electrical products using gas chromatography with electron capture negative chemical ionization mass spectrometry (GC-ECNI-MS). This standard is applicable to the determination of SCCPs in electronic and electrical products, with a quantitative limit of 100 mg/kg. GC-ECNI-MS is suitable for the determination of SCCPs with a chlorine atom number greater than or equal to 5 in electronic and electrical products. When determining SCCPs with a chlorine atom number less than 5 in electronic and electrical products, the methods in Appendix A or Appendix B can be referred to.
