Scope

This standard specifies the test content and methods for the comprehensive performance of automatic magnetic leakage detection systems for ferromagnetic seamless steel pipes and welded steel pipes (except for submerged arc welding).
This standard is applicable to testing the comprehensive performance of automatic magnetic leakage detection systems for steel pipes using the comparison samples specified in this standard under on-site testing conditions.
This standard is also applicable to the comprehensive performance testing of automatic magnetic leakage detection systems for steel pipes with end thickening or flanges, and petroleum pipes.
