Scope

This standard specifies the models, specifications, technical requirements, test methods, acceptance rules, packaging, transportation, and storage of overhead insulated cables (overhead cables) with a rated AC voltage of 10 kV. The standard applies to overhead power line cables with a rated AC voltage U(U m) of 10(12) kV, which are made of copper cores, aluminum cores, and aluminum alloy cores, and are insulated with cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) and high-density polyethylene (HDPE).
