Scope
This document specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking, storage, transportation, and quality certificates for impregnated graphite electrodes. This document is applicable to molded products made primarily from petroleum coke and coal tar, which are subjected to roasting, impregnation, re-roasting, and graphitization, followed by mechanical processing. These products are used as conductive materials in medium-high power electric arc furnaces and mineral heat furnaces.
