Scope

This document specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking, storage, transportation, and quality certificates for graphite blocks. This document is applicable to graphite materials made from petroleum coke, needle coke, asphalt coke, coal tar, etc. as the main raw materials, which are formed, roasted (impregnated, secondary roasting), graphitized, and mechanically processed for use as furnace linings or conductive materials in smelting furnaces and resistance furnaces, as well as in impermeable graphite heat exchangers.
