Scope

Scope: This standard establishes a classification and grading system for enterprises' development and manufacturing capabilities in graphene materials, and provides evaluation indicators and assessment methods. For start-up enterprises, the focus is on evaluating their development capabilities; for scale-up enterprises, both development and manufacturing capabilities are assessed. This standard applies to: (1) Third-party evaluations, which can serve as a basis for downstream application enterprises to select "qualified graphene material partners" and for graphene enterprises to demonstrate their capabilities in the industry. (2) Self-evaluations by graphene material manufacturing and application enterprises, which guide their development and enable continuous improvement. Main technical content: Due to its excellent optical, electrical, mechanical, and thermal properties, graphene has applications in energy storage (lithium-ion batteries, supercapacitors, fuel cells, etc.), thermal management (conductive heat dissipation materials), textiles (antibacterial and antiviral, infrared, UV protection), and sensors (biological and chemical sensors, physical sensors). Since the "Nobel Prize" in 2010, the graphene industry has developed rapidly in China. Patent applications and research have led the world, and the number of enterprises has steadily increased. According to incomplete statistics, there were 38,000 graphene-related enterprises in China by the end of 2022. Leading enterprises in the graphene field are emerging, with some benefiting from early industry involvement, strong technical reserves, and thorough market exploration, achieving rapid development and forming "scale-up" enterprises with balanced technological and production capabilities. Meanwhile, recent in-depth research in applications such as power batteries, thermal management, and antibacterial fabrics has led to the emergence of "start-up" enterprises focused on application-driven goals but lacking
