Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification and models, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, and marking, packaging, transportation, and storage of low-voltage dynamic reactive power compensation devices (hereinafter referred to as the device) with no transition process.
This standard applies to dynamic reactive power compensation devices that use semiconductor switching devices and zero-transition process control methods to switch parallel capacitors, with an AC rated voltage not exceeding 1,000 V and a rated frequency of 50 Hz. Devices with a rated frequency of 60 Hz and those used in mining with a voltage of 1,140 V or less can be used as reference.
This standard does not apply to reactive power compensation devices that use mechanical switching devices to switch parallel capacitors.
