Scope

This part of YY/T 0810 specifies in detail the test method for determining the fatigue performance of tibial trays supporting and protecting the plastic joint surfaces in knee joint prostheses under specific laboratory conditions. This test method is applicable to tibial trays covering the medial and lateral tibia.
This test method is not applicable to tibial components made solely of plastic materials.
This part does not address the testing and reporting methods for the final state of the specimens. These aspects are determined through consultation between the testing laboratory and the specimen providers.
