Scope

This document contains a series of diagrams, icons, and symbols to help the general public understand the concept and process of using electronic systems to collect and/or process fingerprints. This series of diagrams, icons, and symbols aims to: -- Identify the types of biometric identification devices; -- Provide static explanations related to fingerprint identification devices; -- Demonstrate dynamic real-time information related to fingerprint identification devices; -- Indicate the status of fingerprint identification devices. To provide these functions, this series of diagrams, icons, and symbols includes directional diagrams, icons, and symbols, as well as real-time action or feedback diagrams, icons, and symbols. These fingerprint identification device diagrams, icons, and symbols can be divided into the following types. -- General biometric identification of fingers or hands: fingers, four fingers, and types of hand devices. -- Placement of fingers or hands: ● Biometric identification position and the effect to be shown next; ● Hand direction (switching hands). -- Feedback on the quality of fingers or hands: ● Pressing (increasing or decreasing force); ● Increasing or decreasing angle. -- Position of fingers or hands: ● Direction of hand or fingers; ● Necessary movements of fingers or hands (forward, backward, sideways); ● Rotation; ● Changing angle; ● Scrolling fingers. Although the diagrams, icons, and symbols are displayed separately, they are intended to be combined to fully explain the interaction of fingerprints. Other explanations may be used, for example, in customs or immigration environments, the process composed of individual diagrams, icons, and symbols can be additionally displayed as: -- A series of posters while waiting to use the biometric identification system; -- A series of dynamic screens at the biometric identification counter; -- An animated video or a series of dynamic screens while waiting to use the biometric identification system; -- Expla
