Scope

This standard specifies the method for determining the gas generation characteristics of insulating fluids under thermal stress (120°C), without the influence of electrical equipment materials or the action of electric fields. This standard is applicable to mineral insulating oils, and can also be applied to other insulating fluids that require testing of dissolved gas components in the oil.
