Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, product classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, and storage of commercial electric water heaters. This standard applies to commercial electric water heaters (hereinafter referred to as water heaters) that are not specifically designed for household use. For single-phase appliances connected to a phase line and a neutral line, the rated voltage shall not exceed 250 V, and for other appliances, the rated voltage shall not exceed 480 V. Appliances that utilize other forms of energy, if applicable, are also subject to the performance requirements specified in this standard.
