Scope

This standard specifies the method for determining the content of lead, mercury, cadmium, chromium, selenium, antimony, barium, and arsenic in thermoplastic elastomers and their products using inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry. This standard is applicable to the determination of the content of lead, mercury, cadmium, chromium, selenium, antimony, barium, and arsenic in thermoplastic elastomers and their products, but it is not suitable for determining the content of chromium added to thermoplastic elastomers in the form of chromium trioxide.
