Scope
This standard specifies the energy efficiency grade, energy efficiency limit values, energy-saving evaluation values, test methods, and inspection rules for printers, fax machines, and multifunctional all-in-one devices (hereinafter referred to as products) for general use that have printing or faxing as their basic functions.
This standard applies to products that operate normally under a 220V, 50Hz power supply and have a print speed of less than 70 pages per minute and a standard paper size.
This standard does not apply to products that are powered solely by batteries or network interfaces (such as USB, IEEE1394, etc.) or products with a digital front-end (DFE).
