Scope

This standard specifies the requirements for automatic eddy current testing of defects in seamless steel pipes and welded steel pipes (except for submerged arc welding), and the acceptance criteria for defects are shown in Tables 1 and 2. This standard applies to eddy current testing of steel pipes with an outer diameter greater than or equal to 4 mm. This standard can also be applied to the testing of hollow components.
