Scope

This part of GB/T 24818 specifies the technical requirements for ladders, stairs, ramps, walkways, platforms, handrails, handles, guardrails, entrances and exits to the driver's cab, and platforms for inspection or maintenance on mobile cranes. It also sets out requirements for safety protection facilities.
This part also maintains coordination with GB/T 17299 and GB/T 17300. Mobile cranes equipped with tower bodies should also consider coordination with GB/T 24818.3.
This part applies to mobile cranes defined in GB/T 6974.2.
