Scope

This document specifies the specific mechanisms used in biometric recognition to detect presentation attacks using binary format and Extensible Markup Language (XML), as well as the common data format that can be used to exchange detection results.
This document is applicable to standardizing the data related to presentation attack detection when sensors collect biometric recognition features in different application fields.
This document is not applicable to standardizing the authenticity, integrity, and confidentiality information related to presentation attack detection data during storage and transmission.
Note: Although addressing security issues is beyond the scope of this document, it can be seen from GB/T 28826.1 that PAD data is protected by encoding it into biometric information records containing optional security blocks.
