Scope

This standard specifies the sample preparation for the chemical composition analysis of lead-containing glass and the analysis methods for the chemical components such as silica, lead oxide, boron trioxide, aluminum trioxide, arsenic trioxide, barium oxide, calcium oxide, cadmium oxide, cerium oxide, chromium trioxide, cobalt oxide, copper oxide, total iron, potassium oxide, magnesium oxide, lithium oxide, manganese dioxide, sodium oxide, nickel oxide, phosphorus pentoxide, sulfur trioxide, antimony trioxide, selenium oxide, tin oxide, strontium oxide, titanium dioxide, zinc oxide, and zirconium oxide in glass.
This standard is applicable to the chemical analysis of lead-containing glass and the analysis of chemical components in other glasses with similar chemical compositions.
