This standard specifies the basic norms for the entire process of TV audience rating survey sample selection, data collection, data processing, data reporting, data use, and cooperation with the survey.
This standard applies to providers of TV audience rating surveys (i.e., TV audience rating survey companies or institutions), sample households, and data users, including TV program broadcasting institutions, program suppliers, advertisers, advertising agencies, media buying companies, relevant government agencies, equipment manufacturers, and academic research institutions, etc.
