Scope

This document describes an objective light flicker meter that can be used for the following purposes: -- Measuring the inherent performance of lighting equipment without introducing voltage fluctuations related to illuminance flicker. During this measurement, a stable power supply is provided for the lighting equipment. -- Testing the immunity of lighting equipment to (unintended) voltage fluctuations applied to the AC power supply in terms of illuminance flicker. During this test, a set of specified voltage fluctuations are applied to the AC power supply, and the immunity of the lighting equipment to the interference is determined. In addition to the above two purposes, the immunity of lighting equipment can also be tested under AC power with predefined voltage fluctuations, such as those from power transmission signals. However, this document does not provide further detailed definitions for this.
