GB/T 1040.5-2008 Plastics—Determination of tensile properties—Part 5:Test conditions for unidirectional fibre-reinforced plastic composites
Basic Information
Scope
1.3 This part applies to all polymer composites reinforced with unidirectional fibers and meeting the testing requirements of this part of GB/T 1040 (including failure modes). This part applies to composites made from thermoplastic or thermosetting materials, including pre-impregnated materials (pre-pregs). The reinforcing materials involved include carbon fibers, glass fibers, polyamide fibers, or other similar fibers. The geometries of the reinforcing materials include unidirectional fibers (i.e., completely in a straight line), untwisted rovings, and unidirectional fabrics and narrow-band fabrics, etc. This part does not apply to multidirectional composites composed of several unidirectional laminates at different angles (see GB/T 1040.4—2006).
