Scope
This standard specifies the method for determining the amount of manganese sulfide precipitate in low-alloy steel with an electrolytic separation-flame atomic absorption method. This standard is applicable to the determination of the amount of manganese sulfide precipitate in low-alloy steel with a manganese content of less than 1.0% and an oxygen content of less than 0.01%. The determination range (mass fraction) is 0.01% to 0.20%.
