Scope

This part of GB/T 30491 specifies the calculation methods for the volumetric and thermal properties of natural gas, natural gas containing artificial additives, and other similar mixtures when they exist only in a gaseous state.
This part is applicable to gas transmission and distribution processes within a certain pressure (p) and temperature (T) range. For volumetric properties (compression factor and density), the calculation uncertainty is approximately ±0.1% (95% confidence interval). For thermal properties [such as enthalpy, heat capacity, Joule–Thomson coefficient, and sound velocity], the calculation uncertainty is generally greater.
