Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, product classification, requirements, and test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, and storage of high-viscosity and high-elasticity road asphalts.
This standard applies to high-viscosity and high-elasticity road asphalts produced from vacuum residue oils obtained by the regular vacuum distillation process of heavy-traffic road asphalts or petroleum-based raw materials, as well as two grades of high-viscosity and high-elasticity road asphalts produced by asphalt modification processes. This standard is applicable to high-viscosity and high-elasticity road asphalts used in road stress absorption layers, bridge deck pavements, and permeable pavements. For other pavements with similar requirements, this standard can be used as a reference.
