Scope

This standard applies the GLP principles to in vitro research of non-clinical safety trials. These non-clinical safety trial samples include: pharmaceuticals, pesticides, cosmetics, veterinary drugs, as well as food additives, feed additives, and industrial chemicals. The test samples are usually synthetic chemicals, but there are also substances from natural or biological sources, and sometimes live organisms. The purpose of conducting these trials is to obtain the characteristics of the test substances and/or safety data for human health and the environment.
