Scope

This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, and packaging, transportation, and storage for leather sandals made using gluing, sewing, molding, vulcanization, injection molding, and infusion processes, with natural leather, artificial leather, synthetic leather, textiles, or multiple materials as the upper material. This standard applies to leather sandals (including sandals) worn by adults, but not to leather sandals (including sandals) worn by infants, toddlers, and children. Sandals made with other upper materials using the same manufacturing processes may be implemented in accordance with this standard.
