This standard specifies the method for determining high molecular weight polymers in beta-lactam antibiotics using gel chromatography.
This standard is applicable to the determination of endogenous high molecular weight polymers in the development and production of ten beta-lactam antibiotics, including penicillin V potassium, cefotaxime, cefalotin, cefalexin, cefoperazone, cefazolin, ceftobiprole, cefazolin, benzylpenicillin, and procaine hydrochloride.
The detection limit of this method is 0.08 μg.
