Scope

1.1 This standard specifies the method for determining the bending performance of hard and semi-hard plastics under specified conditions. It prescribes standard specimens and also provides size parameters and test speed ranges for suitable alternative specimens. 1.2 This standard is used to study the bending characteristics of specimens under specified conditions [1], and to determine the bending strength, bending modulus, and bending stress-strain relationship. This standard is applicable to tests with free support at both ends and central loading (three-point loading test).
