Scope

This standard specifies the inspection categories, inspection methods, steps, evaluation methods, and assessment reports for the safety assessment of metal structures of shore-based bridge cranes (hereinafter referred to as "shore cranes"). This standard applies to the safety assessment of metal structures of shore cranes; the safety assessments of mechanisms, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems are not included in this standard. This standard does not apply to shore cranes used under the following conditions: —— environments with flammable, explosive, or combustible gases; —— environments with toxic gases; —— environments with nuclear radiation.
