Scope
This standard specifies the sorting of 27,533 characters in GB 18030-2005, including two-byte-encoded Chinese characters and Chinese components, and four-byte-encoded Chinese characters (8139EE39 to 82358738), including radical order and stroke order. This standard is applicable to the sorting of data items, file names, personal names, place names, bibliographies, and customer and product catalogs in text information processing software or database software. This standard is also applicable to the sorting of corresponding Chinese characters in Chinese character encoding character sets (radical order and stroke order).
