Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions of artificial rearing of young silkworms, silkworm breeds, facility requirements, the preparation of wet feed, the disinfection of rearing rooms, the collection of silkworm eggs, feeding, even-seating and expanding seating, sand removal, environmental control, the handling of silkworms during their dormant and active periods, the feeding of third-instar silkworms and their distribution, and individual rearing.
