Scope

This document describes the methods for determining amprolium hydrochloride, ethoxyquin, and sulfaquinoxaline in feed using high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) and liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS). This document is applicable to the determination of amprolium hydrochloride, ethoxyquin, and sulfaquinoxaline in compound feed, concentrated feed, supplementary feed, premix feed additives, and mixed feed additives. In the HPLC method, the detection limit for amprolium hydrochloride is 10 mg/kg, and the quantification limit is 20 mg/kg; the detection limit for ethoxyquin is 0.2 mg/kg, and the quantification limit is 0.4 mg/kg; the detection limit for sulfaquinoxaline is 6 mg/kg, and the quantification limit is 12 mg/kg. In the LC-MS method, all detection limits are 0.02 mg/kg, and all quantification limits are 0.05 mg/kg.
