Scope

This standard describes the quality control methods for batch products of blue wool samples in the lightfastness and weathering colorfastness tests of textiles. This standard specifies a method for instrumentally evaluating the dyeing uniformity of blue wool samples and two methods for visually evaluating and instrumentally evaluating the fading performance of blue wool samples. The blue wool samples to be tested should be compared with the reference blue wool samples. For acceptance standards and storage conditions, see Appendix A. This standard applies to all dyed wool fabrics used as blue wool samples (grades 1 to 7).
