Scope

1.0.1 In order to meet the needs of the construction of seawalls in Guangdong Province, unify the design standards and technical requirements of seawall projects, ensure their safety, advanced technology, and economic rationality, and enable seawall projects to effectively prevent storm surges and flood damage, these guidelines are hereby formulated. 1.0.2 These guidelines are applicable to the design of all new, reinforced, expanded, and reconstructed seawall projects. For dikes in estuary areas, when the average wave height in front of the dike exceeds 0.3m, they should be designed as seawalls.
