Scope

This standard specifies the test method for testing the waterproof performance of fabrics under low impact conditions. This method can be used to predict the rainproof and waterproof performance of garment fabrics. This standard is applicable to all types of fabrics that have undergone or not undergone waterproof finishing or water-repellent finishing. Compared with the more drastic Bondesman method (GB/T 14577) or the rain test method (GB/T 23321), this method is more suitable for fabrics with a medium loose structure. This standard is not applicable to fabrics that cannot be flattened under certain tension conditions.
