Scope

This document establishes the preparation procedures for samples used in the characterization of particulate materials, and specifies the methods and requirements for sampling, sample preparation, and sample transfer. This document is applicable to the preparation of samples for characterization techniques of powders with a particle size of less than 10 mm, solid particles in liquid media, and liquid particles in liquid media.
