Scope

This part of GB/T 9345 specifies the determination method of ash content in filled and unfilled polyethylene terephthalate (PET), polybutylene terephthalate (PBT), and their copolymers. Following the general operating steps given in GB/T 9345.1—2008, unfilled materials use Method A or Method C in GB/T 9345.1—2008, and filled materials and glass fiber reinforced materials use Method A in GB/T 9345.1—2008. For glass fiber-filled materials containing antimony trioxide flame retardants and/or other volatile additives (such as zinc sulfide pigments), they should be combined with volatile brominated compounds to remove these additives.
