Scope

This standard specifies the test methods and evaluation criteria for determining whether dangerous substances can be safely transported in the form of trials.
The first, second, third, fourth, fifth, and sixth methods of this standard are applicable to assessing the sensitivity of solid and liquid dangerous substances to impact.
The seventh, eighth, and ninth methods of this standard are applicable to assessing the sensitivity of solid and liquid dangerous substances to friction, including impact friction.
The tenth method of this standard is applicable to assessing the thermal stability of solid and liquid dangerous substances.
The eleventh method of this standard is applicable to assessing the degree of response of solid and liquid dangerous substances to fire.
