Scope

This document is applicable to the monitoring of horizontal displacement within earth-rock dams and other geotechnical engineering projects, as well as strain gauge-type horizontal displacement meters with a single-point pipeline length of no more than 400m. For strain gauge-type horizontal displacement meters with a length exceeding 400m, a special study is required.
