Scope

This standard specifies the methods for testing the char yield of asbestos rubber sheets and oil-resistant asbestos rubber sheets, their corrosivity to metal materials, oil sealing performance, and heat and pressure resistance. This standard applies to asbestos rubber sheets and oil-resistant asbestos rubber sheets. When the sample size is suitable, it also applies to sealing gaskets made from asbestos rubber sheets and oil-resistant asbestos rubber sheets. Other non-metallic sealing gasket materials can also be used as reference.
