Scope
The method described in this document is applicable to: a) testing the oil contamination degree of hydraulic system assemblies; b) verifying the target cleanliness of hydraulic systems before they leave the factory; c) if necessary, purifying the hydraulic system to achieve the target cleanliness. The cleaning steps specified in this document are not intended to replace appropriate system cleaning procedures. For system cleaning procedures, refer to ISO 23309. Parts and components used in hydraulic systems should be cleaned before assembly, and the guidelines for this can be found in ISO 18413.
