Scope
This standard specifies the high-speed compression test method for porous and honeycomb metals under room temperature conditions. This standard is applicable to porous and honeycomb metals with a porosity of 50% or higher. The speed range used in this test method is 0.1 m/s to 100 m/s (when the sample height is 100 mm, the initial strain rate is 1 s-1 to 103 s-1).
