Scope
This document is applicable to the evaluation of gastrointestinal motility in patients undergoing gastrointestinal surgery in hospitals at all levels, including traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) hospitals and integrated TCM-Western medicine hospitals. Electrogastrography and gastrointestinal manometry can be used for this evaluation. For patients undergoing other surgeries, the evaluation of gastrointestinal motility can be used as a reference for similar purposes.
