This part of GB/T 16856 specifies the general principles for achieving the risk reduction objectives set out in Chapter 5 of GB/T 15706.1—2007, which integrate knowledge and experience related to the design, use, incidents, accidents, and injuries of machinery to evaluate various risks throughout the machine's life cycle.
This part provides guidance on the information needed for risk assessment and specifies the procedures for identifying hazards, assessing, and evaluating risks.
This part also provides guidance on the types of documents needed to make decisions about machine safety and verify the completed risk assessments.
This part does not apply to risks to livestock, property, or the environment.
