Scope
1.1 This standard specifies the safety regulations for piling equipment used for the following purposes: — Construction of foundations, retaining walls, or foundation support structures using piles or other vertical components; — Extraction of piles; — Construction of drainage piles or foundation construction using the jet grouting method. The materials of piles can be wood, concrete (precast or cast-in-place), or steel (steel pipes or rolled steel sections, etc.). Additionally, piles may have interlocking features that allow adjacent piles to be integrated into a single structure.
