Scope

This standard specifies the method for determining the moisture content of dyes and dye intermediates.
This standard is applicable to the determination of moisture content in various types of dyes and dye intermediates. Among them, the Karl Fischer method and the modified Karl Fischer method are suitable for the determination of trace moisture in dyes and dye intermediates, but they are not suitable for samples that can react with the main components of Karl Fischer reagents to produce water, and for the determination of moisture in samples that can reduce iodine or oxidize iodide.
