Scope

This document specifies the classification and grading of defects in hydropower station hydraulic structures, as well as the requirements for their identification, verification, and remediation. This document applies to the management of defects found in water-retaining structures, water-discharge and energy-dissipation structures, water-intake and power-generation structures, dam-crossing structures, dam-adjacent embankments, slope areas in the hub area, and hydraulic metal structure equipment during operation. The management of defects in other structures can be implemented with reference to this document.
